Art About Art

Reuven Berman Kadim explores the hidden order of nature in his latest book, "Geometric Art". By studying the elegance of patterns and shapes from across the artistic world, Kadim shows that beauty is far more than lines and angles. The book also deals with the different styles from European, Arabic and Far East artists, highlighting the cultural facets at play. Art's representation of geometry, the book contends, extends the work from simply beautiful to the realms of the transcendent and the metaphysical.
Yitzchak Beser. Jerusalem Post, Billboard, 25.2.2011.

The Beauty of Mathematics and Art

Few artists have used so extensively the concepts of symmetry, the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci Sequence as has Reuven Berman Kadim. His grasp of the beauty inherent in spatial geometrical forms can be compared only to that of some of the greatest geometers. He even managed to incorporate into some of his magnificent works depictions of intricate physical systems, such as quasi-crystals - surprising structures that were first discovered in 1984. Berman Kadim's work provides a wonderful example of the delicate interplay between "beauty" in mathematics and aesthetics.
Mario Livio, 2009.
